Sometimes you have things to do, you want to be comfortable and heels and a dress just will not work for the errands on your to-do list. That day was today! Cleaning up around the house, a bit of gardening, getting groceries… it has to be done sometimes. So what to wear when you want to be comfy but not look like you just threw on the first things your hands touched in the morning? Grab his shirt, pull on your jeans and Chucks, put your hair up some kind of way and go! And in the case of a couple of these photos, be a bit silly along the way. You’re never too old for having some fun. In the words of the Joker – Why so serious!
I confess, I did wear some lip gloss. I just feel so undressed without my earrings and some lip stick no matter what I’m wearing. Dressing up will have to wait for Mother’s Day 🙂
Until next time ♥
His shirt – Eddie Bauer wrinkle free (yay!) 100% cotton here
Gap 1969 distressed true skinny (old pair mine – I love the stretch in these jeans) similar here
Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars (old pair I got on clearance – yay!) similar here
I wanted to shoot a different look outside but nature had other plans – other snowy and cold plans the day I did this outfit! So it was just relax indoors in my flannel and Chucks instead. What I love most about this flannel shirt from the Gap, besides it being soft and comfy, is the long shirt tail in the back. I’ve worn this shirt with leggings and boots as well as with denim. The pants, from J Crew, are stretchy and comfy and can be dressed up or down. And as I’ve said before, when it’s a look you like and it works for you, get it in multiple colors if offered. I bought these in 5 colors (mostly on sale).
Now what can I say about the Chucks? Great shoe and I’m up to four pairs now.
